Delta Swamp Photo Safari

"The Mobile- Tensaw Delta is one of the largest wetland ecosystems in the United
States. It is mysterious, spiritual, beautiful, powerful, and espouses Kindship
with Mother Nature.

Photographic Hands-On Safari!
Travel deep into the Beautiful and 'real' Mobile Tensaw Delta Swamp and learn
some of the secret places and photographic
how-to tricks of Two-Time 'Emmy' award winning wildlife photographer/cinematographer
Dennis Holt.
The Tensaw Swamp is a wildlife photographers paradise!
Due to an unusual wet December (wettest on record) and January the Fall Delta
Seminar has been re-scheduled for Feburary/March, 2010. It's not too late to come
aboard and join us.
Register now! Due to the nature of this trip, space is limited. Most of the Wilderness
Area is only accessible by water.
This is a first come first serve basis.
The weather, tides and water level will determine our actual trip itinerary.
The early spring Delta trip should be very pleasant with low humidity, great
temperatures, very few insects and beautiful Cypress Trees.
We'll begin our safari as we board our boats for our early morning golden light.
Our boat journey includes great location stops to off-load the boat, stretch our
legs and experience some wonderful photographic adventures.
Feel the 'heart-beat' of a beautiful swamp island environment. This area is a
great habitat for the Black Bear, Deer, Birds, Bobcat, Wild Boar and the Swallow-Tailed
Kite.
This is an easy, low impact, non-strenuous photographic swamp exploration trip.
Our classroom for the day will be deep into 'The Delta Swamp'.
We'll continue our journey to reach my most favorite place in the Swamp! A beautiful
water trail that takes us under Cypress and Live Oak tree overhangs with a surprise
around every turn including tannic acid water (caused by decaying vegetation)
which provides for some great mirror reflection photos!
I photographed a pod of 11 Manatee on a beautiful dark water lake in the Delta.
On our adventure we hope to find them again. They usually stay in the same location
until migration.
More detailed information will be available after registration.
Wildlife Photography takes dedication, a deep passion and the patience to capture
that one outstanding once in a lifetime freeze frame of nature.
The rewards are unbelieveably satisfying!
Every trip into this great wilderness is always an experience and always something
new to learn.
